Between the years 1938 and 1959, he received his degree from the University of Georgia. He was born in Georgia. After that, he committed himself to serving in the National Guard before relocating to New York in order to launch a career in advertising.
Following that, he relocated to London and continued his career in advertising for an additional three years. Shortly thereafter, he made the decision that he desired a change of pace and started writing his first novel. It was during this time that he made the decision to relocate to Ireland, where he led a solitary lifestyle and only left his house to earn money by writing advertisements for a local television station where he worked.
During the 1970s, Woods relocated to Ireland, and it was during this time that he developed a passion for sailing. He participated in sailing competitions for a considerable amount of time and gained knowledge about how to become a better sailor. After his grandfather passed away and left him some money, he was finally able to purchase his own boat, thanks to the inheritance he received. During that time, he began to take sailing more seriously and devoted the majority of 1974 to gaining additional knowledge about sailing.
In 1981, Stuart Woods began his career as a novelist. His career has continued ever since. In the years leading up to his death. In 2022, he passed away. He produced a number of novels each year.
